Magpul guns its way into Wyoming, brings 250 jobs

CHEYENNE – Magpul, a firearms accessory manufacturer, announced plans in 2014 to move to Cheyenne from Colorado, and to possibly bring 250 jobs to the city. The company cited strict gun control legislation in Colorado as the reason for looking to move north.

The company makes high-capacity magazines, which it would no longer be able to make in Colorado. Wyoming rolled out the welcome mat for the company with its strong support of Second Amendment rights.

Magpul plans to grow and expand in its new home with support from the city and state. It now operates from a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Cheyenne Business Parkway.
